BHHS Chicago’s Libertyville office donated 150 Thanksgiving meals to neighbors in need

by Emily Mack

A tradition now in its 32nd year, staff at the Libertyville office of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago completed their annual Thanksgiving dinner drive last week — and compiled 150 full Thanksgiving dinners for the less fortunate.

After accepting donations throughout November, members of the office shopped for ingredients which included all the classics: turkey, stuffing, potatoes, gravy, candied yams, green beans, rolls, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie. Then the agents met at Woodman’s Market in Lakemoor to fill assemble boxes full of food, which were distributed across Lake County to residents in need.

“The Libertyville office did a phenomenal job of reaching out to family, friends and clients for donations to make this Thanksgiving event possible. Because of their hard work, 150 families had wonderful, traditional Thanksgiving meals,” said Managing Broker Luke Mutter. “I’m touched by everyone’s generosity, whether it was a monetary donation or taking time out of their busy pre-holiday schedules to focus on giving back to others less fortunate than they are.”
