When asked “What is the most common mistake agents make when negotiating?”, respondents said:

  • “Getting too personally or emotionally invested.”

  • “Being rude and bossy. When there are multiple offers with similar purchase prices, I urge my clients to move forward with the kinder buyer’s agent.”

  • “Not doing the research – offers should be presented with backup!”

Of those agents who answered “other,” the responses varied:

  • “Audiobooks, books, blogs, coach.”

  • “Both from on the job and getting the CNE.”
