Amidst Chicago’s competitive housing market, these 10 neighborhoods stand out
In the city of Chicago’s housing market, the median days on market in July was just 19 days, and the average sale-to-list price was 96.8 percent.
As competitive as Chicago’s market is, though, specific neighborhoods saw an even higher volume of sales activity, and after combing through new statistics in Redfin’s Real-Time Market Tracker, we assembled charts with our findings. Click on the tabs below to adjust between median days on market and sale-to-list price.
|Chicago Neighborhood||Median Days on Market|
|Neighborhood||Average Sale-to-List Price|
|South Lawndale/Little Village||101.7%|
As with June, the West Loop was the most competitive market overall, with the No. 1 position for days on market and the No. 2 position for sale-to-list price.
Wicker Park, Logan Square, Ukrainian Village, West Town and Avondale are also present on both lists.
