50, Er, 5 Shades of Grey to Update Your Home For Market

by David Cieslak

According to a 2012 HomeGain survey, interior painting has an ROI of 107 percent for home sellers when preparing a home for the market. While Taupe and Navajo White were hot a few years back, shades of grey are the hottest trend right now.

We’ve tried many varieties of gray in our homes, and I wanted to share our top 5 shades of grey that we recommend to homeowners on a consistent basis – and with amazing results!

1. Benjamin Moore Edgecomb Grey HC-173.

2. Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter HC-172

3. Benjamin Moore Pale Oak OC-20

4. Benjamin Moore Balboa Mist OC-27

5. Benjamin Moore Harbor Gray AC-25

As you can see, some of these go towards a warmer feel. If your homeowners are afraid of going grey because it might feel cold and uninviting, these are ideal solutions that give a warm, fresh update.

These also work great with any accent color to change out artwork and accessories for any season, whether for staging or everyday decorating. As always, hold up those paint chips in all rooms prior to painting to make sure it works!

Happy selling!
