What was your first job in the realty industry? I was a lender at the Northern Trust Bank, then became an agent and worked for Prairie Shore Properties, and now I’m with @properties.

Where did you grow up? Mason City, Iowa.

What is your favorite free-time activity? Any activities with my four daughters, preferably outdoors because I love summer.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? Walk along the lakefront.

Growing up, what did you want to be? A party planner.

If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? Oprah Winfrey. I find her inspirational.

Where is your favorite place to hang out? My backyard.

What do you love most about the industry? Meeting new people.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? I now have an article in Chicago Agent!

What is the most difficult aspect of your job? Competition and this current economy.

Where do you go to network and meet new clients? Many volunteer activities.

What has been your greatest accomplishment? Caring for my father before he died.

What is your favorite restaurant? Joe’s Crab Shack.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Chicago? The Tribune Tower.

What is your advice for someone new to the industry? Try and get along with everyone. Everyone’s style is different. Love where you work.
