What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?

I spent 25+ years behind the scenes as a luxury home marketing director before transitioning into real estate sales. It gave me a unique perspective on marketing, branding and what helps a home stand out.

Where did you grow up?

Wilmette.

Growing up, what did you want to be?

I dreamed of being a TV anchorwoman. Turns out, I still spend my days communicating, just about homes instead of headlines.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?

Listen to audiobooks.

What is Chicago’s best-kept secret?

Chicago’s neighborhoods. Every neighborhood has its own personality, hidden gems, amazing local restaurants, and community events. You could spend a lifetime exploring them and still find something new.

What do you love most about the industry?

The relationships. Whether I’m helping clients navigate a major life transition or coaching agents to grow their business, I love building genuine connections and making a positive impact on people’s lives.

What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?

Did a walk-through and the sellers took all of the appliances.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?

I lead with relationships, not transactions. I believe in listening first, educating my clients and serving as a trusted advisor. My goal isn’t just to help someone buy or sell a home — it’s to build a relationship that lasts long after the closing.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?

Helping clients navigate the emotional side of buying and selling. A home is more than just a financial investment — it’s filled with memories, hopes and big life changes. My role is to provide guidance, reassurance and a steady hand throughout the process.

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?

On the personal side … Anthony Rizzo. As a lifelong Cubs fan, I’ve always admired his leadership, his charitable work … and let’s be honest, it doesn’t hurt that he’s pretty cute, too.

What’s your best advice for generating new leads?

Have more conversations. The best leads don’t come from chasing strangers — they come from building genuine relationships. Be curious, listen more than you talk and stay connected to the people you already know. Opportunities naturally follow.

What has been your greatest accomplishment?

Without question, my greatest accomplishment is my son. Watching him grow into a kind, hardworking and compassionate person has been the greatest joy and privilege of my life.

What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?

A little bit of everything! Leadership and mindset podcasts, books on personal growth and Ninja Selling, Cubs games whenever I can, and whatever Netflix mystery everyone seems to be binge-watching.

What’s your favorite meal in Chicago?

A great Italian dinner in Chicago — good food, good wine and great conversation.

What’s one thing people are surprised to learn about you?

I wanted to be a TV anchorwoman when I was growing up.

What is your favorite vacation spot and why?

Anywhere near the ocean. There’s something about being by the water that instantly helps me relax and reset.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?

Listen more. Talk less. Stay connected.
