2013 New Construction Update: Strong & Steady

by Megan Oster

Ryland Homes

Ryland Homes opened six new communities this year. Located in different western suburbs, some of its recent land purchases are located in areas where the company currently operates, but the team at Ryland Homes is focused on expanding its presence in the Chicagoland area to new submarkets that are primed for growth in 2013.

Ingham Park, one of its new communities, is located in Aurora. The 2,257- to 3,800-square-foot home sites, all of which are backed by a nature area, are priced from $224,990. Fields of Shorewood, located in Shorewood, is Ryland Homes’ first entry into the Shorewood market, with 2,282-3,146 square foot homes priced from $207,990.

“We are very pleased with the immediate success of Fields of Shorewood,” Condon says. “Opportunities for buyers to choose new construction have not been available in recent years, but first-time buyers have quickly taken advantage of the opportunity to purchase a new home rather than resale.”

Andaré at Talamore in Huntley is Ryland Homes’ newest active adult collection. Homes are priced from $154,990 and range from 1,224 to 1,880 square feet. In addition, the company has also launched Ashton Pointe in Crystal Lake and is reopening its Cedar Grove community in Elgin; Ashton Pointe’s  2,405-3,800 square foot homes are priced from $245,990, while Cedar Grove has 43 home sites, priced from $254,990, still available at press time.
