Ginger Downs, CEO of C.A.R., will be inducted into the National Association of Realtors RPAC Hall of Fame.

Virginia “Ginger” Downs, the CEO of the Chicago Association of Realtors (C.A.R.) will be inducted into the National Association of Realtors’ Realtor Political Action Committee Hall of Fame for her lifelong investment of $25,000 in RPAC, the Realtors Political Action Committee.

Ginger Downs and the Chicagoland Area

In the Chicagoland area, she held director seats on the Real Estate Advisory Boards for DePaul University, Roosevelt University’s Marshall Bennett Institute of Real Estate, John Marshall Law School and the Goldie B. Wolfe Miller Women Leaders in Real Estate Initiative. Downs also served on the Board of Directors for the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for both The Emergency Fund and The Chicago Alliance to End Homelessness, both of which are organizations dedicated to the prevention and ending of homelessness in Chicago.

She said her RPAC investment reflects her belief in RPAC advocacy as critical for advancing the interests of home owners and real estate professionals.

“The Chicago Association of Realtors, its members and its staff provide examples nationally for others in the real estate industry who are trying to do the right thing for their clients and their businesses,” said CAR President, Zeke Morris of Keller Williams Realty, C.C.G. “Ginger’s commitment to supporting RPAC, a key force in bettering the climate for real estate, should be a model for us all.”

Downs will officially be inducted at a Hall of Fame ceremony held during the 2013 NAR Mid-Year meetings in Washington D.C. May 13-18.
