Which Chicago suburbs and neighborhoods have the most transactions? LeapRE examined all active residential units on the market from January 2012 through May 1, 2012 to find out. Aurora has the highest number of transactions, 608, but this number is less than last year’s, which was 699. And while Naperville had less total transactions, it has the highest total sales volume closed, with $153,441,845.
The Near North Side seems to be the most popular Chicago neighborhood to buy in – it had the most total transactions from January through May 1 with 596. However, this total is exactly 100 transactions less than its total transactions last year for the same time period. See last year’s numbers online: chicago.staging312.com/2011-top-transactions/
