by Chicago Agent

During the recent 34th annual RE/MAX Northern Illinois awards ceremony, RE/MAX Suburban won the top award for sales production. The office had the highest number of transactions and the greatest sales volume of all multi-office brokerages in the RE/MAX Northern Illinois region.

The agents of RE/MAX Suburban closed 2,381 transactions for more than $603 million in closed sale volume, despite a challenging residential real estate market.

Jim Nelson, Sr. and Bob Baker founded the firm in 1978 with a single office in Arlington Heights. The firm now has seven offices in Arlington Heights, Geln Ellyn, Libertyville, Mt. Prospect, Schaumburg and Wheaton.

In the most recent Real Trends 500 survey of top producing brokerages nationwide, based on 2010 sales volume, RE/MAX Suburban ranked 180th in closed transactions and 155th in closed sales volume. It ranked 22nd among all U.S. RE/MAX firms.
