In the mortgage industry for 24 years, Eva Pawlus has experienced every side of the business. A senior loan officer with Wintrust Mortgage, Pawlus is recognized as being relationship driven, highly responsive and very process oriented. Whether she’s assisting a first-time homebuyer or working through a complex luxury transaction, she ensures her clients understand the process and feel supported from application to closing. After graduating college with a degree in business administration, she planned to see the world working as a flight attendant. But when her airline training was cancelled due to 9/11, she started working as a processor with a mortgage company and never looked back.
Pawlus is a three-time recipient of the Wintrust Mortgage Presidents Circle and was named a top originator by Scotsman Guide in 2026. The preferred lender for three major condo projects in Chicago, she combines professionalism with genuine care to make the process clear and less stressful for her clients. With a business based on 100% referrals, she educates clients every step of the way to make sure there are no surprises. “My goal isn’t simply to close the loan,” she says. “I want to build relationships and give my clients the best mortgage on the market.”
Born in Poland, Pawlus visited her hometown this past year after being away for 15 years. Growing up, she competed in ballroom and Latin dance and continues to love music and dancing today. She enjoys going for walks with her fiancé and advocating for homeless cats by supporting various animal shelters.
