Cookie Casillas has turned her given middle name into her professional tagline: “Not Your Cookie Cutter Realtor.” Known for bringing a warm, maternal touch to her profession, she has a natural ability for making people feel comfortable.
She always knew she wanted to be a Realtor. Before launching her career in real estate, Casillas worked in the IT department at Rush University Hospital for 18 years. She then took on roles as a court reporter and then as a special needs caretaker. “My heart has always been to help people achieve their goals,” Casillas shares. “Real estate gave me the opportunity to do just that.”
A Realtor with Baird & Warner, Casillas represents clients ranging from those needing to downsize to first-time homebuyers and sellers, as well as relocation and commercial clients in the southwest and western suburbs of Chicago. She grew up on the Southwest Side of the city and has lived in the southwest suburbs for nearly 30 years. Described by her clients as patient, responsive and extremely professional, she goes above and beyond to exceed client expectations. “I really listen and try to put myself in my clients’ shoes,” she says. “I don’t get bothered by obstacles because I know how to jump in and figure out the best way to resolve any situation.”
In 2025, Casillas earned recognition as a member of Baird & Warner Director’s Club. She has also been named a Five Star Professional. She holds several professional designations including Senior Real Estate Specialist, Accredited Buyer Representative, Real Estate Negotiation Expert and Certified Buyer Specialist.
Also, as a member of the Palos Heights Women’s Club and Palos Park Women’s Club, she helps with fundraising for over 25 charities, offers scholarships and helps people in need. She also supports the Crisis Center for South Suburbia. Outside of real estate, she enjoys crafting and bicycling.
