Having closed nearly $10 million in real estate transactions this past year, Alison Wertheimer focuses on maintaining a positive work-life balance. “[Approaching] 25 years in the business, I still love what I do,” she says, crediting her success to her original mentor, Elaine Waxman, who was her first managing broker. “I achieve a very high success rate with my clients,” she adds. “I recently had a listing sell for 30% above the asking price.”
A real estate broker with @properties Christie’s International Real Estate, Wertheimer represents clients in Fort Sheridan, Highwood, Highland Park, Chicago and North Shore communities such as Lake Forest, Glencoe and Deerfield. Additionally, she is licensed in Florida, where she covers Palm Beach Gardens to Delray Beach.
Currently a resident of Fort Sheridan, Wertheimer grew up in Ohio, moved to Chicago after college and immediately entered real estate. “COVID really launched the Chicago suburban market,” she recounts. “As prices skyrocketed and inventory fell, I had to dive deep into the market to find properties and help clients.”
Wertheimer earned the @properties Road to Rolex award in 2023 and was the recipient of the Impact Award in 2020, 2022 and 2025. In 2021, she received the Outstanding Achievement Award and the Outstanding Sales Achievement Award from the Chicago Association of REALTORS®.
Known for her calm demeanor and deep market knowledge, Wertheimer incorporates AI into her work to gather information that helps her clients stay updated on the latest trends and market conditions. “My goal is always to make the process as seamless as possible for my clients,” she shares.
During her free time, Wertheimer is a sports mom with her kids. She enjoys walking her dog and spending time in Fort Sheridan with her family.
