The past five years have been record-breaking for Aaron Wise, senior mortgage banker at CrossCountry Mortgage. He recently shifted platforms and made a significant move to CrossCountry from his previous company; even so, he continues to serve his clients and agents with top-notch service, achieving career highs in Chicago’s market share in units and volume. He has also been consistently recognized as a President’s Club member from 2020 to the present due to his achievements.

“The move to CrossCountry Mortgage was a big step, and even though it’s never easy to change platforms like that, it was necessary to offer my clientele better options and better service at less cost,” Wise explains. “Our Closing Concierge program, where we have a team member at each individual closing, absolutely enhances the client’s experience.”

Wise initially began his career working with a mortgage company because this pathway provided tuition reimbursement, which helped him take more technology courses. After a short stint juggling both types of work, he continued working solely in mortgages because it seemed like an easy and natural fit for his skills. He’s successfully grown his business ever since.

With over 24 years in the business, Wise explains that the key to success is to spend as much time setting up the lending process as necessary while making the borrower feel comfortable and confident. “It’s easier to go through the process when the borrower knows the expected steps of that process,” he clarifies. “Knowing the next steps eases their stress 100%.”
