Melinda Thomas, Senior Home Lending Advisor

Chase

With 25 years in the field and a broad array of loan specialties, Melinda Thomas helps make the dream of homeownership a possibility for those in Southwest Michigan. While in college studying for the General Securities Representative Exam, Thomas started working at a national lender. She began in processing and quickly moved up to underwriting, later becoming a closing manager and then moved on to leading a division for one of the country’s top home builders. Her work ethic and empathy have yielded much success. “I care about every client,” she says. “I will always go the extra mile and work hard for them and their family.”

Known to be an excellent communicator while merging her attentiveness and business savvy, Thomas achieved top-performer status with her company despite a tough market. Nominated for the One Chase Award two years in a row by peers and business partners, she was recognized for her impressive industry knowledge and ability to instill a sense of trust, among other qualities. Firmly rooted in and committed to her profession, Thomas is a representative with the Midwest Culture Counsel for Home Lending with JPMorgan Chase.

Set apart by decades of experience building relationships and navigating complex scenarios, Thomas now enjoys a business made up largely of repeat clients. She often finds herself working with the children and grandchildren of former loan customers.

“I love my job,” she shares. “I love the people I work with, and I am grateful every day for all of the opportunities that have come my way.” In her spare time, she enjoys working out, wakeboarding and snowboarding with her daughter. They also enjoy spending summers by their backyard pool. The two enjoy traveling and look forward to many more trips in the future. The personal accomplishment of which Thomas is proudest is maintaining work-life balance while soaring as both a professional and a mom.
