If there is one thing that Spencer Terry loves to hear from his clients, it is that the process of buying or selling a home was “much easier” than they expected. “Many people hear horror stories from friends and family regarding real estate,” says Terry, a broker associate with Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty, “so I often hear from my clients how surprised they are with the ease of the process.”
It’s easy only because Terry makes it that way. He is often told that he is patient, competent and kind, and he likes to sprinkle in “a little humor here and there to lighten the mood.” Terry has nearly seven years in the real estate business in Chicagoland. With a background in logistics and sales management, Terry developed a passion for real estate and beautiful homes at a young age. Today, he has hit a milestone in his career in total sales and gross commission income, and he is especially proud to have expanded his business into the North Shore market, where he loves helping clients “right-size” their homes.
To assist his clients, Terry offers buyer and seller guides to provide them with a thorough education of the process. “Having the patience to educate my clients about the process and going the extra mile to make sure they are comfortable and educated goes a long way,” he adds.
The one skill that has served Terry above all others is resilience. “There are a lot of ups and downs,” he shares, “and having the resilience to withstand those downs and persist through has been instrumental to my success.”
Coldwell Banker Realty named Terry to its International Presidents’ Circle in 2022. In addition to other affiliations, he is a member of the LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance.
Terry’s goal is to create his own real estate team to be able to help more buyers and sellers. But there is more to Terry than real estate: He has a deep love of music and has sung with professional organizations including the Tulsa Opera.
