Compassionate and knowledgeable, Laura Thon specializes in guiding seniors and their families through the difficult process of downsizing. “I have my SRES [designation], and a lot of my business is working with families that either have a loved one downsizing or moving into assisted living, or who may have passed,” Thon explains. “I often work, along with multiple family members, to help sell their loved one’s home. My goal is to make these processes easier for them, and less stressful. I also have a big heart and compassion. This is usually a hard process for most, and I want my clients to know I understand that.”

To do this, Thon works with her team to arrange the right professional for every task, from estate-sale planning to legal advising. “I am a full-service agent. I help my clients from beginning to end to make sure that the stress is off of them. I work very closely with all my clients and have great communication,” she says.

Thon is active in the Women’s Council of Realtors and was named the winner of the Leading Edge Award by Berkshire Hathaway. She was recently selected as one of just 10 Berkshire Hathaway agents to participate in a new billboard and magazine campaign.

In the past year, Thon shares, she also overcame her fear of flying. “The last two years, I have done a lot of traveling with real estate,” she says, “and this has led me to a lot of new adventures.” One of these adventures was a team trip to meet with other realtors in Ireland. Thon described it as a “once in a lifetime” experience.
