Often described as her clients’ biggest advocate, banker-turned-sales associate at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Kathy Jewusiak brings professionalism and expertise to every client interaction. “I regularly hear from clients that buying or selling their home was easier than they thought it would be,” she explains. “I like to think I’m super fun to work with. However, the banker in me is quite defined and organized to ensure my clients have the best possible outcome and I can meet my clients’ expectations such as time, price, location and type of property.”
A native of the North Side of Chicago, Jewusiak has a personal understanding of the neighborhoods she works in. “I have lived on the North Side of the city for the last 20 years and know the city neighborhoods very well,” she says. “I stay informed by consistently visiting the neighborhoods I work in, visiting stores, restaurants, parks and real estate as it becomes available. I follow local aldermen and Chamber of Commerce offices to stay well informed about the neighborhoods I represent.”
Jewusiak shares that her biggest professional accomplishment last year was matching families with forever homes, explaining that it’s “cliche, yet true.” Last year, too, she was listed among the top 10% of agents within Berkshire Hathaway and recognized as a Leading-Edge award recipient within the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices network.
When she’s not working with clients, Jewusiak can be found volunteering for Housing Opportunities for Women, a nonprofit on Chicago’s far North Side. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends or exploring oceans and coastal areas around the world. A lover of the water, Jewusiak wonders if she was a fish or a sailor in a past life.
