For 26 years, Jeanne Spurlock owned her own real estate firm, which included overseeing 50 sales brokers. Now a broker with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago, Spurlock specializes in residential sales of single-family homes, condos, co-ops and townhomes, serving luxury buyers and sellers throughout Hyde Park, Bronzeville and the South Loop. “I have lived in Hyde Park for many years, which has been my primary market throughout my entire 38-year career,” she says. “Clients value my many years of experience, my ability to follow through and my extensive knowledge of the market.”

With a background in sales, Spurlock worked in retail sales management early in her career but made the move to real estate due to the flexible schedule it allowed her while raising young children. “I decided this would be my niche,” she remembers. “I am known in the industry for my diligence and easy style of communicating.”

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago has presented Spurlock with the Leading Edge Award every year since 2019. She is a member of the Professional Standards Committee of the Chicago Association of Realtors and is a past board member of the Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce, a role she held for several years. She is also involved in her office’s sponsorship of the nonprofit organization The Sunshine Kids.

Crediting her success to her ability to get the deal done no matter what it takes, Spurlock believes in learning her clients’ needs and asking about their goals right up front. “My many years of experience help me stand apart from other agents and I am almost always available,” she shares.

In her downtime, Spurlock enjoys traveling with her family and close friends.
