A realtor upon graduating from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Michael Touloupakis learned immediately how to understand the market and its fluctuations, the relationships between buyers and Realtors, and how important it is to have a trusted team of Realtor, lender and attorney in all transactions. Touloupakis, whose close friend was a lender, discovered he liked working with people who already found their home and needed help securing financing for such an important decision. He was also drawn to a career that included socializing and networking. “I have been in the mortgage industry for over 25 years,” he says. “I genuinely love my job and this industry and truly enjoy helping people.” He goes out of his way to make the entire process as stress free as possible. “Whether it’s a $100,000 loan or $3 million, I treat every client with the same level of service,” he says.
A senior home lending advisor with JP Morgan Chase, Touloupakis believes his excellent communication skills helps him achieve success. “I put my clients first to ensure we close a seamless deal on time,” he explains. “I anticipate any possible obstacles and how to overcome them.” Owning several homes over the years, he understands the process and is able offer the best product available.
Closing over $90 million over the last 12 months in loan volume, Touloupakis is known for his experience and exceptional customer service. “Even though I work at one of the largest banks in the country, my clients always get the white glove treatment and the boutique feel,” he says. “I consistently put my clients first.” Touloupakis also understands how important it is to keep his referral partners updated throughout the transaction.
As a Chicago native, Touloupakis lives downtown in the heart of River North. When not working, Touloupakis is involved in helping animal shelter PAWS Chicago, the Anti-Cruelty Society and K9s for Warriors. An avid golfer and Chicago sports fan, he enjoys cooking (especially Greek Cuisine), biking, exercising, traveling and spending time with his fiancé, Courtney, and dog, Ella. He is also a wine connoisseur with over 300 bottles in his current collection.
