From Chicago to the North Shore, Jamie Ficco is known for her expertise in new-construction homes, single-family resales and condo resales. She specializes in all types of residential transactions, and her in-depth familiarity with Chicago’s neighborhoods earns her clients’ trust.
With over 19 years of industry experience, Ficco made a major shift in her business a few years ago. After joining Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty (JSIR), she set new goals. “JSIR has a monthly leaderboard, and I wanted to reach it,” she explains. “Last month, I achieved that goal. It felt amazing!”
The ability to read people is Ficco’s secret weapon. “I pick up on someone’s energy quickly,” she relates. It helps my clients feel cared for. I want my clients to enjoy working with me. I want them to want to buy or sell a home with me — not feel that they must.” Clients appreciate this low-key style. “They say they never feel pressured,” she states. “I get to know my clients. They become friends. How can you know what your client’s needs are without knowing them as people first?”
Understanding the entire process sets Ficco apart from the competition. “That makes buyers know they can trust me,” she shares. “I follow every step of the transaction closely. Then my client is comfortable and confident working with me.” She also believes that her experience and reputation make her stand out from the crowd. “Sellers call me because they’ve heard I’m caring, professional and experienced in different markets,” she says. This kindness extends to other agents as well. “Real estate is super competitive, yes,” she continues, “but if you don’t build rapport with other brokers, you’ll never succeed. If you can’t pick up a phone and call the agent with a sign next to yours, you’ve failed in the business.”
