Broker & Founding Member, Compass

From first-time to luxury buyers and sellers, investors, developers, professional athletes and everything in between, Josh Lipton, President of Lipton Luxury Living and Founding Member of Compass Chicago, serves clients in Chicago’s most in-demand, sought-after neighborhoods. He employs a concierge level of service, sound insight and unrivaled expertise, with an extensive background and profound knack for new construction, both as a broker representing many prominent developers as well as developer of his own new construction projects.

Since entering the residential real estate industry in 2014, Lipton has quickly climbed the ranks among Chicago’s top-producing agents and hasn’t looked back. Since being named Rookie of the Year by Chicago Agent Magazine in 2015, he has been recognized annually as a Top 1% Producer by the Chicago Association of Realtors and was selected by Crain’s as one of 2018’s Most Influential Residential Real Estate Agents in Chicago. In 2021 and 2022, Lipton was included in RealTrends’ “America’s Best Real Estate Professionals” list, an accolade bestowed upon the top 1.5% of over 1.4 million licensed Realtors nationwide.

Aside from his unwavering work ethic and passion, Lipton attributes much of his success to his education and his professional and life experiences. All of these have led to making him a better agent by arming him with a unique background and skillset to best represent clients with the foresight and acute awareness to strategically navigate any transaction. “Each day is a new adventure,” he says, “and no two properties or clients are the same, each with unique objectives, circumstances and story to tell.”

With a business built predominantly by referrals and repeat clients, Lipton has sold nearly $200M of real estate since 2015. Clients compliment his hands-on level of service, hustle and candid personality. “At the end of the day,” he remarks, “it’s all about adding value and turning an otherwise stressful and unfamiliar process into an enjoyable and memorable experience.”
