Creativity is key for Chicago mortgage broker Joy B. Prisching, an experienced loan originator who always thinks outside the box. Now, after over a quarter of a century in the industry, she’s learned to structure loans in a way that makes the most sense for her clients by taking the time to understand their wants and needs.

Prisching was introduced to the real estate industry by a friend and neighbor who thought her skills and experience would be a good match for the mortgage arena. “I thought he was crazy,” she laughs.

He wasn’t: in her 26 years in the industry, Prisching has established a business based on open communication and creative problem-solving, and is frequently recognized as one of the top loan originators in Chicago. She recently celebrated the highest producing year of her career, a testament to the hard work and dedication she puts into her craft. She earned spots in the Top 50 Loan Officers for IHDA and Scotsman Top Producing Loan Officers in 2021, commemorating her momentous year.

Prisching’s former careers in event planning and graphic design have helped her immensely in the world of mortgage lending. Between her creative eye and her experience coordinating and planning complex events, Prisching is now a mortgage broker who understands the importance of showing up for clients, whether it’s to educate and guide them through the process or simply to celebrate the big moments with them. To this day, she still attends all her closings, even if they’re in three different cities 30 miles apart.

Aside from her accomplishments in real estate, Prisching is most proud of her son Ben, who recently graduated with a master’s degree in Business Analytics in only one year. “I’m so proud of him,” she shares. “He is ready for the world!”
