Curtis Crotty, Team Lead – The Crotty Group

@properties Christie’s International Real Estate

With a background in financial services and consulting, Curtis Crotty fell in love with the analytical and relationship aspects of real estate.   He started his real estate career working with new construction developers and has been serving the North Side neighborhoods for four years. “I learned about real estate from the ground up,” he explains. “Getting to know the ins and outs of land helped provide me with a strong knowledge base for many other aspects of real estate.” This gives him an advantage over his competitors.

The Chicago Association of Realtors named Crotty a Top Producer for 2021. However, he considers starting his own team to be his biggest professional accomplishment of the year. “My goal is to create a community for people to tap into … to connect with and learn from.” he says.

Crotty describes his style as “serious and professional, but fun when the time is right. Real estate can be a serious business, but we love to help our clients enjoy the process along the way.” He relies heavily on his financial services background to help clients understand the numbers when buying or selling a home. Clients praise Crotty’s personable manner and analytical approach to the business. “I listen to what their true needs are and walk them through different strategies accordingly,” he says. He also makes sure his clients are well cared for. “They tell me that working with me was fun and informative, that they felt like they were in good hands every step of the way,” he says.

Communication is essential, and Crotty keeps his clients in the loop. “I pride myself on keeping my clients aware of the process so that they are never left in the dark,” he says. “We, as agents, have to know how to break down information and communicate with our clients and colleagues effectively. Understanding how and when to say something is the biggest tool a professional can have.”
