Jody Sexton, Broker

@properties Christie’s International Real Estate

One of Jody Sexton’s priorities when moving to the Fox Valley seven years ago from Colorado was to get involved in the community and begin meeting people right away. “I am a person who likes to be with others, have fun and be involved,” Sexton says. “I knew I needed to learn the area and start building relationships so that I would be happy in my new home.” That trait, along with her background in equity trading, translated into a career in real estate. A broker with @properties Christie’s International Real Estate for the past three years, she credits her success to valuing relationships. “I love this career because of the people,” she says. “Getting paid to do this job is a nice perk, but it’s not really about that for me and I think my clients feel that.”

Sexton represents buyers and sellers in all price ranges, including luxury sales, throughout the western suburbs. “My goal is to keep the experience fun and the process as smooth as possible,” she says. Described as a “breath of fresh air” by one client, Sexton is known for her open communication skills, patience, professionalism and knowledge of the market. Her success is measured through her continuous referral business as well as through community events and open houses.

Sexton earned the Road to Rolex designation in 2021 by @properties Christie’s International Real Estate for sales volume over $10 million. She is an ambassador for Keep Local Alive, a movement in her area to support local businesses. “I shoot spotlight videos for local small businesses and promote them on social media,” she explains. This allows me to stay informed about what’s happening in our community, which ultimately benefits my clients and the small businesses that we support. It is very important to me, and it’s a lot of fun!
