Larysa Domino, a real estate broker with @properties Christie’s International Real Estate, last year sold nearly $80 million and led the No. 2 team in Hinsdale by units sold. It was exciting for Domino to create a team, having been the No. 1 individual agent in Hinsdale in 2019 and 2020. Having grown up in Hinsdale, where she still lives today, she knows the suburb inside and out.
“Being a ‘lifetime local,’ I know the area very, very well,” she emphasizes.
Her knowledge of the Hinsdale market includes which blocks trade at a premium and the history of the suburb’s various homes. She provides that knowledge, plus her extraordinary number-crunching skills, to all of her clients, from luxury buyers to first-time purchasers. Domino also serves buyers in Clarendon Hills, Oak Brook, Downers Grove, Burr Ridge, La Grange, Westmont and Western Springs.
“A home is oftentimes a family’s largest investment, and I enjoy guiding my clients through the process with my analytical lens,” says Domino, who has a master’s degree in business administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and is a certified public accountant.
With her finance background, she is able to price homes with precision and doesn’t shy away from negotiations. She directs clients to make the best choices suited to their individual situations, understanding that the cost of a home is more than the property itself.
“Carrying costs, such as property taxes and interest rates, school expense and commuter costs, should be included in purchase decisions,” she explains. “If you can save money (and time) by walking to the train daily versus driving into the city, that is value you should consider in the total transaction.”
Domino has more than just a head for figures and a strong work ethic. She alleviates the worries that accompany homebuying by developing trust-based relationships with her clients and keeping their best interests at heart.
“Let me have the sleepless nights so you don’t have to,” she says.
