When Jill Beda Daniels opened her firm, she knew she wanted to focus on helping people and making a difference in their lives. Real estate was a natural fit, and she’s never looked back. She and Elaine Chen Gilman, who joined her firm last year, specialize in real estate, estate planning and collaborative divorce throughout Chicago and Chicagoland. They belong to numerous professional organizations, and in 2021, Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS® named Daniels Affiliate of the Year.
Daniels’ litigation background required her to switch gears. In real estate, it’s essential to foster a collaborative, rather than adversarial, environment. Working to bring everyone together is a great source of joy for her. When Gilman came on board, that was another positive step. “She brings enthusiasm and kindness to the firm, and we love her as much as the clients do,” Daniels says.
As part of the collaborative process, Daniels and Gilman work closely with their clients and fellow agents to ensure a smooth, successful transaction. Clients also appreciate the total dedication they receive from this power pair, as well as the team’s ability to remain flexible in today’s rapidly changing market. “We really work to offer a boutique service and be a resource for our agents,” they explain.
On the weekends, Daniels treasures the time she spends with her family, whether it involves outdoor grilling, cooking or going to her condo in Streeterville to enjoy everything Chicago has to offer. She also serves on the board of Lyons Township High School. Watching her four children transition into new phases of life gives her great personal satisfaction.
Gilman’s adventures involve visiting Chicago’s amazing museums, spending time with her brother’s family in Arlington Heights and traveling or skiing as a family. Leading her daughter’s Girl Scout troop, her son’s Boy Scout troop and volunteering at Clarendon Hills Middle School rounds out her free time.
