Kelly Kirchheimer, Real Estate Broker

@properties Christie’s International Real Estate

A passion for real estate started in her youth, but Kelly Kirchheimer took 12 years before pursuing it as a career. She remembers reviewing real estate listings in the local newspaper every day after high school. “I’ve always loved watching the market and how the numbers end up working out for different offerings and studying values in various areas,” she says. After graduating from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, she worked in technology sales management, obtained an MBA in entrepreneurship and had three children, before following her longtime passion to residential real estate.

A resident of the western suburbs since 2006, Kirchheimer is a real estate broker with @properties Christie’s International Real Estate. She covers her community, including Clarendon Hills, Hinsdale, Downers Grove, Westmont, Western Springs, La Grange and elsewhere in DuPage County. “I adore the western suburbs and all the area has to offer and spent years getting to know it before going into real estate,” she says. “I really listen to people and respect their motivations and goals in order to cater to their personal situation.”

While enjoying getting to know her clients on a personal level and spending time with them, Kirchheimer admits she can be obsessive about numbers to get the best value. “Markets change quickly,” she says, “and it is important to really understand what is happening to best advocate, position and negotiate for my clients.”

In 2021, Kirchheimer won the Road to Rolex award from @properties Christie’s International Real Estate for her sales production while serving as managing broker of the company’s Downers Grove office. An avid volunteer, she serves on the District 181 Foundation board, the Main Street Professional Standards Committee and is a member of the Clarendon Hills Chamber of Commerce. She also gives a portion of every sale to charitable organizations such as Bridge Communities, the Clarendon Hills Infant Welfare Society, the Angel Harvey Family Health Center of the Infant Welfare Society of Chicago, and Mend-A-Heart. When not working, she enjoys cooking, family ski trips and spending time outside.
