Steered by team lead Rafay Qamar, Compass’ Qamar Group buttoned up a record year in 2020, closing just shy of $75 million in sales. The team is currently on track to reach their goal of $150 million in 2021.

With Jana Pierce, Steve Davis, Anam Hargey, Ashley Rashid, Emma LaCosse, Lance Lukose and 20 brokers and staff members under his wing, Qamar makes it his mission to serve clients around the clock. “Our schedule is eyes open to eyes shut,” Qamar says. The team has been able to help more than 500 families find their places in the world this year alone by establishing a culture that entices agents to build longevity in the industry.

“In the absence of face-to-face interactions last year, we used social media and provided industry expertise and education information,” says LaCosse. “We organized virtual events, posted educational content and even had a few TikTok videos in there,” Lukose adds.

“We go out of our way to offer a full array of services to clients,” Davis says. “Knowing each of our ‘styles’ and being able to emphasize our individual strengths makes us stronger.” A diverse team with more than 12 languages spoken, the group creates specialized service for unique cultural or religious requirements, making sure each client’s needs are satisfied.

“We know how stressful the process can be for people,” Rashid says. “We complete a detailed client consultation to ensure they have all the financial and process pieces in place and can feel calm about it.” Strong on referral and repeat clients, Qamar Group’s listening and problem-solving skills stick with clients long after the sale. “Clients often say we’re patient, thorough and build a true relationship with them. We want them to know that we always have their best interests at heart,” Hargey says.

Qamar and partner Pierce’s next goal is to grow the team to over a quarter billion dollars in sales by the end of 2022. They are focused on becoming the No. 1 team in the Midwest and expanding to sub-tier markets, including Wisconsin, Michigan and Missouri.
