Real estate broker Jolene White of RE/MAX Suburban has got her clients in McHenry, Kane, Cook and Lake counties covered, having grown up in McHenry County, where she still lives today. Her client base encompasses all types of buyers and sellers, from empty nesters looking to downsize to first-time buyers.
White has 10 years of experience working in real estate, but her knowledge of the industry extends far beyond that. Growing up, her family owned a construction company that built custom homes. While she didn’t see herself as a contractor, she found herself drawn to helping others find the right living spaces best suited to their needs. “My clients speak about my personality — a sense of humor and joyful enthusiasm,” she says. “Both qualities help keep things light at a time when selling and buying is overwhelming.”
She believes in solution-based selling. For White, Realtors serve as consultants, helping to educate the client in the workings of the market, as well as coaching them through the financial and emotional factors that accompany the home buying or selling process; she is adept at identifying the best approach for closing transactions based on individual client needs. “Each transaction is unique and requires innovative ideas to maintain a steady sales cycle for each property,” White shares.
That mindset has served her well. She’s been named Best of the Best Top 10 Real Estate Agents for 2020, as well as one of 10 Best Real Estate Agents in Illinois 2018 and 2019 by the American Institute of Real Estate Professionals. She also snagged the United Way of Greater McHenry County Trailblazer Award in 2019.
