With successful careers in corporate America, real estate wasn’t really on the radar for Lydia DeLeo and Jane O’Malley. However, once they entered the profession, they quickly realized they had found their true calling.
DeLeo and O’Malley met 15 years ago when their sons were playing at the McKenzie School playground together. They partnered together because they have so much in common and are like-minded in terms of their values and business philosophy. Now empty nesters, the pair is often out and about in the McKenzie neighborhood walking their Goldendoodles.
With over 22 years of combined real estate experience, DeLeo and O’Malley are passionate about helping their clients realize their real estate goals and dreams. With over 40 years of marketing experience and strong knowledge of the local real estate market, they pride themselves on being the local market authority.
“The most satisfying part of our job is achieving our clients’ goals and objectives, whether it be for a seller or a buyer,” the pair says. “Our customers are our most valuable asset, and each marketing plan we develop is designed around what matters most to them.”
When COVID-19 changed the industry’s paradigm, DeLeo and O’Malley quickly pivoted to help their clients, employing virtual tours for all of their listings. They also hired a professional videographer and used a drone to showcase both the interior and exterior of each of their clients’ properties. “Going forward, we are making virtual marketing part of our strategy for all new listings we roll out,” they say.
DeLeo and O’Malley’s stay on top of industry trends, with a recently-launched new website and monthly newsletter. But perhaps the project they hold most dear to them is their quarterly report that gives a hyperlocal overview of the market.
The pair consistently ranks among the top real estate teams on Chicago’s North Shore, and have earned numerous honors such as the 2020 Best of Wilmetter Real Estate Agents, Zillow’s 5-Star Agent, Coldwell Banker’s President’s Circle and North Shore Barrington Association of Realtors Top 5% in Sales Production.
