After more than a decade living or working in well-known Chicago boroughs like South Loop, River North and Logan, as well as a journey as a local elementary school teacher, Kelsey Mayher, broker associate with Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty knows that being attentive and communicative is the best way to connect with another person – no matter their age or status.
“I learned to be very attentive with my clients, because that’s how I was with students,” Mayher says. “That experience made me very empathetic and patient, and taught me that communication is key.” Know for her friendly, warm demeanor, Mayher also brings a hefty dose of organization and preparedness to her client interactions. “I’m constantly thinking of creative ways to get listings sold or rented or to find clients the ‘unicorn’ property they’re looking for.”
Now in her fifth year of real estate, Mayher is riding a wave she started early, winning Jameson Sotheby’s Bronze Producer honor in her very first year as an agent. While driven and detail-oriented, Mayher is also fun and laid back. Pointed, intentional, but also engaging and grounding, Mayher presence is all about providing buyers a space to discuss ideas, be open about concerns, and leave feeling more prepared for the purchase process.
“I adapt to my clients’ schedules and play everything straight with them” she says. “I’m very honest with them so that we can make strong decisions quickly, getting their current or future dream home under contract and getting them to the next stage of life.” Mayher has built a strong referrals base over the years, treating clients like family and earning repeat and new business on her reputation.
“No client is too big or too small,” she says. “Customer service and providing value is what I’m all about. Luxury isn’t a price point – it’s a level of service.”
