As with any new business, it takes a while to become successful in real estate, which is why Ashley Kain Silver was prepared for that initial struggle, and along the way, she proved that sometimes the learning curve is shorter than one might think.
Kain Silver, a real estate agent with Compass, has only been in the industry for about three years, but she is among the North Shore-Barrington Association of Realtors’ 2020 Top 5% of agents based on residential sales volume. Her secret to success? She started out working with top-producing brokers on the North Shore.
“I’ve adopted many of the methods I was shown by these brokers but made changes that I believe are more authentic to who I am as a person,” she says. “Buying or selling a house can come with a lot of stress, but with the full range of services I provide, my goal is to make the process as stress-free and easy on my clients as possible.”
Kain Silver serves buyers and sellers in Chicago, the North Shore and surrounding suburbs. They appreciate her dedication and ability to make the process easy, especially for making the trip to help them, no matter where they are located.
Born and raised in Glencoe, Kain Silver had two children and returned to the area for its top-rated schools and to be close to family. A single mother, she loves the flexibility real estate affords her: She has time to drop off the kids at school, take them to activities and be on call for them 24/7. “Real estate has allowed me to meet my professional and personal needs,” she says.
Before changing careers, Kain Silver was involved in politics and campaign work, racking up five years of solid networking experience that prepared her for real estate. “I don’t just provide a service, it’s not just a one-and-done type of sale,” she says. “It’s a relationship, a friendship. I truly care about all my clients and their families.”
