While Matt Ginn didn’t start out in the mortgage industry, he’s glad he made the switch. First introduced to lending through a family member, he leveraged mentorship relationships and his highly skilled background in order to build up the confidence he needed to make a career change and become an expert in a new field.
Today, Ginn is driven by a sense of dedication, with nine years of experience in lending under his belt. He currently operates as a mortgage consultant for Wintrust Mortgage and specializes in construction, renovation and portfolio loans, as well as down payment assistance programs.
A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, it is perhaps no surprise that Ginn is detail-oriented and organized. But he also brings emotional intelligence to the process as a good listener and problem solver for his clients. “Securing a mortgage can be a stressful experience, but it’s my job to make it easy for customers,” he says.
The level of technical expertise Ginn brings to the table allows him to stand out among Chicagoland’s crowded field of top-notch lenders. He prides himself on his adaptability, always ready to change tactics to accommodate any given borrower’s needs. “My clients appreciate my responsiveness and attention to detail,” Ginn says. “It is incredibly important to me to clearly communicate the loan process, loan programs and products, as well as any requirements needed to close quickly and efficiently.”
Ginn has been named to the Wintrust Mortgage’s President’s Circle every year from 2015 to 2019. His goal is to keep climbing to higher levels of production year over year and continue to close difficult loans that others could not or would not accomplish.
