Katie Mihelich’s focus on connecting with clients has made all the difference when it comes to her success. “Nurturing relationships has allowed me to continue to exceed my goals and my clients’ goals,” the Realtor with d’aprile properties says.
Mihelich assists clients in the city and suburbs, always keeping in mind the reason they are buying or selling a home and devising a plan based on achieving that goal. “Whether it’s a first home, forever home or lake home, or the move is due to downsizing, relocation or estate sale, I love being part of my clients’ lives during a huge transition,” she says.
Before real estate, Mihelich was up for a promotion to president of a leading relationship marketing agency focused on rare, chronic diseases. She worked with biopharmaceutical companies and patient advocacy groups to build solutions for patients and caregivers. When her young daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, she took a year off to learn how to manage her care. Once the situation stabilized, she became a Realtor to be close to her family while still making a difference in people’s lives.
“I’ve always looked at it as a continuation of my career, not a career change,” Mihelich says. “I’m leveraging my business and marketing experience and my negotiation, staging and client service skills to ensure an amazing experience and positive outcomes for my clients.”
A Certified Staging Consultant, Mihelich strategically presents homes to sell them faster and for the optimum price. The recipient of d’aprile properties’ Top Producer recognition in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2020 and a winner of the 2018 Gold Key and 2019 Silver Key awards, Mihelich is a member of Midwest Real Estate Data and the Realtors Political Action Committee. She is often recognized as one of the top agents in her hometown, Lombard, and is an active member of her community and school PTA. Her family has been honored for their involvement with the American Diabetes Association and are big supporters of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
