A Chicago native, Lisa Asher knows the city like the back of her hand. “Chicago is my heart and my soul,” Asher says. “My grandfather was a truck driver for the Teamsters on Chicago’s North Side. As Grandpa grew older, we would recite the major streets with their coordinates to keep his mind sharp. Every neighborhood came with a colorful story of his experience, which is why Chicago’s neighborhoods and their corresponding landmarks and architecture are marked indelibly in my mind.”
A bartender at Corcoran’s Pub in Old Town for more than 20 years, Asher’s passion for Chicago, as well as its people, architecture, and neighborhood folklore, provided a natural transition from the restaurant industry to real estate. “The relationships I forged with the local Old Town community during my time at Corcoran’s has been invaluable,“ she says.
A member of the Albany Park Chamber of Commerce, the North River Commission and the Old Town Merchants & Residents Association, Asher doubled her business from 2018 to 2019 and has plans to achieve even more in 2020. She credits this success in part to her inquisitive nature, determination, rich network of resources and commitment to her business plan.
Professional and process-driven, Asher works to instill confidence in clients throughout the entire real estate transaction from beginning to end. “They know I am straightforward and will provide them with an innovative marketing plan and transparent pricing strategy and will go above and beyond for them in order to close the deal,” she says. “Luxury isn’t just price point; it’s a level of service and commitment. Whether I’m selling a $100,000 condo or a $1 million home, my concierge level of service and dedication are the same.”
A fitness and yoga enthusiast, Asher and her husband live in Albany Park with their rescue dog, Matilda. They are active supporters of World Relief Chicago, the Fulton Street Collective and The Anti-Cruelty Society.
