Through exercising the three P’s of purpose, passion and professionalism, Ellyn Collins serves as a mentor to others in both her professional life with Coldwell Banker and outside of it. Collins’ natural ability to connect with people from all walks of life has proved to be instrumental to her continued success.
As a real estate agent for Coldwell Banker Realty, Collins serves clients throughout Chicago’s western suburbs, specializing in single-family homes and condominiums. She deepened her strong work ethic, ability to remain calm under pressure and sense of professionalism working in corporate America. But since discovering her passion for client service through real estate, Collins has never looked back.
This past year, Collins was able to navigate a difficult negotiation process for a growing family looking to upsize. Her ability to remain patient and professional led the seller to agree to Collins’ original terms, paying off substantially for her client. Additionally, one of her most notable professional accomplishments came after working with sellers in the global luxury market. Though the absorption rate for that particular market and price point typically exceeded one full year at the time, Collins went above and beyond to stay ahead of the curve and get the home under contract in less than five months. “The home was the second-highest-priced home sold in that marketplace in that year,” she says.
Collins earned a spot in Coldwell Banker International’s President’s Circle, as well as the Million Dollar Guild, which recognizes agents whose documented performance includes at least two single-family property closings at $1 million or above. She also received the Dharma Award from d’aprile Properties in 2015 and 2016. Outside of real estate, Collins is a certified Dailey Method and Fluid Running instructor. She is also a committee member for her local hospital, where she contributes to the mission of improving the patient experience.
