With decades of experience in real estate, Carla Walker and Jim Walker bring exceptional industry knowledge, wisdom and compassion to each of their clients. The Walkers work with all types of clients, including first-time home buyers, luxury clients and investors, on a variety of property types such as single-family homes, condominiums and co-ops. They specialize in the Downtown Chicago and Near North markets.

After working in fashion for over two decades, Carla made the leap into real estate in 1998, driven by fond memories of her mother’s own career in the industry. Carla’s experiences working at high-end retailers were a huge asset as she made the transition, because she had honed her ability to build and maintain positive relationships and help achieve clients’ goals. Carla pulled Jim into the business in 2002, right after he retired from a senior executive role in the health care industry. With a background in marketing and distribution, as well as several insurance licenses to his name, Jim quickly became the calm, cool, collected “numbers man” and negotiator to Carla’s outgoing, positive and communicative personality.

Now with four decades of experience between them, Carla and Jim are an unstoppable force in the Chicago real estate scene. They offer a partnership to the people they work with. “Our clients know that we’ve got their back and that we deliver what we promise,” they say. The Walkers hold themselves to an incredibly high standard, and they have been honored with various accolades over the years for their work. Jim holds the Accredited Buyer’s Representative, Seller Representative Specialist and Certified Negotiation Expert designations. In 2018, Carla earned the Sellers Representative Specialist designation and was named one of Chicago’s Most Influential Residential Real Estate Brokers by Crain’s Chicago Business. She also serves on the Chicago Association of Realtors’ Professional Standards Committee and works with various nonprofits.
