Wood and Burton work as brokers for Compass under their team BurtonWood Residential. The duo assists buyers and sellers throughout the city and has experience working with all types of clients, including trade-up buyers, out-of-town buyers, first-time homebuyers and investors. Their backgrounds in sales and client services helped to shape their savvy and dynamic approach and commitment to forming strong bonds with each of their clients. “A meaningful transaction, for us, is one in which our buyers feel confident in the financial decisions that they’ve made and one in which a long-lasting relationship is forged,” they say.
Wood and Burton know that getting aligned early in the process optimizes the client experience. They begin each relationship with a meeting aimed at equipping clients with the knowledge they need to feel empowered every step of the way. Yet, it’s also their honesty, communication and empathy that set them apart. “We feel the highest highs and lowest lows of every transaction,” they say. “We lose sleep over things, just like our clients surely do.”
The Chicago Association of Realtors has recognized Wood and Burton as top producers from 2017 to 2019. They are also members of the Lakeview East Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Realtors. Outside of work, they love to spend time with their family, including their vizsla, Annie, and their daughter, Tessa. Hailing from Illinois, both Wood and Burton are also avid sports fans — but especially die-hard supporters of the Chicago Cubs.
