Often described by her clients as trustworthy, ultra-responsive and knowledgeable, Carla Hill Pitelka specializes in concierge-style experiences. Her meticulous attention to detail and commitment to service are what’s made her a rising star in real estate.
For nearly 20 years, Hill Pitelka worked in in-store marketing, influencing shopper behavior. After rising through the ranks to become a design executive and then helping to establish an entirely new division for a Fortune 500 company, Hill Pitelka foresaw a decline in in-store shopping.
After considering her options, Hill Pitelka decided to transform her love of aesthetics and problem-solving into a career in real estate. “Within six months of signing up for my first course, I passed my licensing exam and started my second act as a real estate broker with Baird & Warner,” she says.
Hill Pitelka transferred the skills she acquired as a design executive into a unique benefit for her clients. “As a former creative leader, I spent years honing my listening skills, not only paying attention to what the client was asking for but also delivering what they didn’t realize they wanted,” she says. “Having a design and marketing background, I am a strong visual storyteller. Marketing a listing involves more than just putting a property into the MLS. You’re selling the story of what it’s like to live in the property. For each property, I craft a multifaceted marketing strategy, which consists of well-timed digital and social media campaigns, traditional print advertising, and in-person or virtual events. For investors, I provide data and market statistics to allow my clients to make informed decisions. After many years in corporate leadership roles, I’m adept at managing both people and expectations to keep negotiations on track.”
A lifelong learner, Hill Pitelka is currently pursuing her Pricing Strategy Advisor and Real Estate Negotiation Expert certifications. Her main focus is on the southwestern suburbs, primarily Homer Glen and the surrounding communities.
