Geoffrey Zureikat entered the real estate industry straight out of college, returning to his hometown of Chicago seven years ago to begin his career at a boutique agency in the city. Now Zureikat is the owner and managing broker at Z Chicago. “I love this job because it allows me to experience the city both geographically and socially,” he says. “I still feel fortunate that I found the perfect career fit on the first try.”
As a top-producing agent, Zureikat balances his clients’ needs with the responsibilities of managing agents. Still, Zureikat sold $10 million independently in 2018. “Hiring new agents allowed me to continue to provide the exceptional and personalized level of service that my clients have come to expect, while giving my agents the opportunity to grow their own client base,” he explains.
Knowing the value of direct communication, Zureikat aims to reply to all clients within 10 minutes, earning a reputation for his responsiveness and efficiency as well as his willingness to take a hands-on approach. “I’ll do pretty much anything to make my clients happy, and that’s why a large portion of my personal business is retention- and referral-based,” he says. “I’ve gone so far as to help a buyer install new kitchen cabinets because I had a free couple of hours in between showings on a weekday afternoon.”
Last year, Z Chicago completed its first renovation project, with more planned for the year ahead. “My goal is to start investing and renovating more homes in the Chicago area, and I hope to expand further into new construction and development,” Zureikat says.
Zureikat is an Accredited Buyer Representative and has earned an e-Pro designation. He is a member of the Realtors Young Professionals Network and supports All Chicago. He enjoys spending time with his family, going out to dinner in the West Loop and taking his dog to Skinner Park.
