When Lindsey Richardson spotted a gap in the real estate industry 10 years ago, she took it upon herself to fill it. Seeing a need for real estate professionals who could act as a resource for new Chicago transplants such as herself, Richardson earned her real estate license and began her career in what she describes as “the city that stole my heart.”
Now a real estate broker with Dream Town Realty, Richardson runs a referral-heavy business, catering to both first-time buyers and repeat clients in downtown Chicago. Within the last year, she increased her closed sales total to $15 million, making her the youngest solo agent in the company to earn an invite to the Top Producers trip to Mexico.
“Many people think that real estate is sexy and a fun and easy career,” she says. “They don’t understand the blood, sweat and tears that go into each deal for our clients and how connected we are to their well-being and making their dreams come true. I truly love my job and love being entrusted day in and day out to deliver results.”
In 2019, Richardson hired Kinga Ryczek, a 2018 graduate of DePaul University and fledgling agent, to help grow her brand. “I see in Kinga the passion, determination and desire to deliver expert service that I had 10 years ago when I began my career,” says Richardson, adding that she’s honored that Ryczek chose her as a mentor in the field.
Hailed by her clients for her accessibility and creative problem solving, Richardson is equally respected by the agents with whom she works for her willingness to shoulder more than her share in order to close a deal. Richardson has been a Chicago Association of Realtors Top Producer since 2012 and was featured in the Chicago edition of Real Producers magazine in April 2019.
In her spare time, Richardson volunteers with Coat Angels and enjoys discovering new restaurants with her friends and fiancé as well as running along the lake with her rescue dog.
