McKenna and her team of 18 agents serve clients throughout Chicago; Chicago’s western suburbs; and Naples, Florida, with an expansion on the horizon to Chicago’s North Shore.
Having worked as an interior designer before she broke into real estate, McKenna has always had a creative eye. She initially decided to get her real estate license in order to sell one home a year, but then found there was no turning back. Her style and experience accelerated her success, and she quickly learned to love the competitive nature of the industry.
As of June 2019, the group hit 100 active listings across their three markets. Furthermore, they hit the lifestyle trifecta with two different clients by helping them both sell homes in the western suburbs, buy “empty nest” condos in Chicago, and invest in vacation homes in Naples. “I expanded the Dawn McKenna Group to both the city and Naples, Florida, markets in 2017 for that reason — to better serve my clients and meet their life-changing needs,” McKenna says. “So that was special — helping two families out in all three of our markets.” Because it opens the team to a whole new group of people who will benefit from their full-service approach, the North Shore office — expected to open in the fall of 2019 — is an exciting development.
Since her start in 2003 as Coldwell Banker’s Rookie of the Year, McKenna’s more than $1 billion in sales has led to numerous industry accolades. In 2017, she was named the No. 1 agent in Illinois by The Wall Street Journal and REAL Trends. As of today, she is currently Coldwell Banker’s No. 6 agent worldwide.
