As a resident of Chicago, Andrew Perkins is more than a broker. For almost 20 years, Perkins has helped buyers, sellers, investors and renters at all price points. In addition to residential resale, he also works in the commercial and new-development markets. As head of the Dwelling Chicago team at Compass, he says, “my first priority is securing my client’s dream property. But I’m more interested in their real estate goals.”
Having worked in investment banking during and after college, Perkins realized he was better suited for a job that took him out from behind his desk. It was quickly apparent that the real estate industry was a natural fit. His financial expertise combined with his patience, tenacity and preparedness are fundamental to his success. Working with a customer base comprised of about 90 percent referrals and repeat business, Perkins takes on the responsibilities of a family mediator, real estate negotiator and team coach all at once.
“This year, my biggest accomplishment was getting repeat clients into their dream home within a tight time frame,” he explains. “They needed to get into a home in a good school before the beginning of the school year and we did it. They couldn’t be happier and as a result, I was able to represent their listings when they sold their rentals.”
Perkins has been featured in Who’s Who every year since becoming a top producer in 2015. Over the course of his career, he’s helped develop over 250,000 square feet of residential and mixed-use space. In the last few years alone, he’s been involved in over $100 million worth of development, marketing and sales solutions. He is a member of the Chicago Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
When not working, Perkins enjoys spending time with his family and having the opportunity to watch his kids grow up and fall in love with Chicago themselves.
