From owning his own home improvement store to running a nightclub, Champagne Closings CEO Lamont Ellebb enjoyed a number of career experiences before entering the real estate industry. But after developing an interest in the importance of home security, he decided to create his own unique brand.
Ellebb has now worked for ADT Security Services for more than 24 years, and in 2017, the company named him the nation’s top sales associate out of more than 50,000 employees. He later chose to develop Champagne Closings because of how crucial home security education is to both new and old homeowners.
Ellebb enjoys helping a wide variety of clients on a daily basis, and he’ll serve anyone who needs assistance on the topic. He also educates Realtors on social media and the importance of developing a brand, and his company’s referral program has now grown to more than 5,000 real estate associates.
“Teaching people about home security is much more than just installing a device,” he says. For Ellebb, his job is all about keeping clients safe during every part of the day — where to place a security ladder and what causes a house fire are just a few of the topics Elleb covers with clients. His energy and passion for serving those around him make clients feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the process. He joins clients in celebrating their closings by bringing champagne and personalized flutes to the special event.
Outside of work, Ellebb stays heavily involved with a program that has always been highly important to him. Last Thanksgiving, he held a turkey drive at the St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago, and the event helped feed more than 5,000 families. Ellebb recalls being brought to tears while serving turkey to guests during the event, and he couldn’t be more grateful for the sponsors who helped him along the way. He is also involved in the Real Men Talk program at Lindblom High School, which aims to push members to be their best selves and help others at all times.
