Having recently opened a full-service residential brokerage, Geoffrey Zureikat faced several exciting changes and challenges over the past year. Though stressful, he successfully navigated the many responsibilities of building a tech-savvy real estate company from scratch. Creating a comprehensive local search website, brainstorming branding projects and overseeing marketing to-dos — all while continuing to provide top-notch service — wasn’t easy, but Zureikat’s ambitious attitude and strong client relationships propelled him each day.
Now operating as an agent, a business owner and managing broker of Z Chicago, Zureikat’s high expectations of himself continue. “I prefer to be an active manager in every aspect of my business rather than delegating tasks, even if that means sacrificing most of my time outside of work. I’m proud of the late nights and can’t wait to see Z Chicago evolve over the long-term.”
From the start of his real estate career, Zureikat has made accessibility, honesty and unparalleled responsiveness his priorities. In addition to an outstanding work ethic, he is constantly learning (and re-learning) what buyers, sellers, investors and renters in Chicago need. But he also strives to make the process entertaining and genuinely enjoys serving his clients. “I am in this business to help people invest in their future and aim to provide the most rewarding experience possible.”
Zureikat knows from personal experience how highly competitive the current market has become and is able to bring both personal understanding as well as seven years of professional real estate knowledge to the table. He predominantly advises first-time homebuyers, sellers and investors in downtown Chicago. No matter the situation, Zureikat prides himself on continuously providing practical feedback that yields positive outcomes.
Zureikat credits making the transition from acting as a hybrid agent, covering sales and rentals, to becoming exclusively a sales agent as his biggest business accomplishment this year. He launched a monthly seminar, aptly named Let’s Buy a Place, to guide former renters through the challenging transition to homeownership. And, while his primary goal is to help others achieve their real estate goals, he also gets personal gratification from seeing the American Dream unfold. “The smiles on closing day, hearing about future renovation plans and seeing a seller make a great return on their investment — it’s beyond rewarding to know I played a role in their happiness.”
On paper, Zureikat holds Seller Representative Specialist, Accredited Buyer Representative and E-Pro designations. Although he rarely takes days off, he enjoys golfing, training his new puppy Leo, playing beach volleyball and trying new restaurants near his condo in the West Loop.
