PERL Mortgage hosted its 4th Annual American Streetball Classic Saturday, Oct. 20 at Attack Athletics on 2641 W. Harrison.

The event brought together teams to take part in three-on-three basketball, which benefitted Imerman Angels, a program that provides one-on-one support for cancer fighters, survivors and caregivers. This year’s event honored Chicago Bears player Adam Podlesh and former New York Knicks Director of Basketball Administration, and currently Director of sales at MTV, Ian Mahoney. The two battled cancer at the same time, and are both in remission.

Also in attendance were Jerry Azumah, all-pro former Chicago Bear; Jim Rose, sports anchor for ABC-7; Kahlil Bel, Chicago Bears running back; Randy Brown, three-time NBA champion; and Gov. Pat Quinn
