Connie Antoniou
Broker/Owner | Hunter’s Fairway Sotheby’s International Realty
Connie Antoniou found her passion on Valentine’s Day, when her boyfriend at the time bought her a real estate class as a present. “A monster was created,” Antoniou said. Today, 26 years later, she absolutely loves what she does, especially the challenges of the real estate industry. Antoniou specializes in tough, strong-willed clients for whom “‘I’m sorry’ is never good enough,” she says, “I always have to be on my ‘A’ game at this level. I get a feeling of exhilaration and deep satisfaction when I’ve helped a client close a deal.”
Antoniou and her firm are licensed in both Illinois and Wisconsin. She has carefully prepared to open a second office in Door County, Wisc., and one of her agents holds the No. 2 market position in that area. Antoniou is also looking to “slowly and carefully” expand into Lake Geneva and Lake Forest by “creating synergy with existing high-end agencies and associates who desire to benefit from the Sotheby’s international reach and a brand that is part of the very ‘warp and woof’ of the affluent market,” she says.
Antoniou’s business continues to grow because of the way she always treats clients and other agents, which results in several referrals. “Our agents get incredible leads, not only from me personally, but we get many ‘call ins’ and ‘walk ins’ because high-end consumers want to work with Sotheby’s, the ‘jewel in the crown’ of real estate companies. We are the real estate division of the famous Sotheby’s Auction House, which we leverage for the benefit of our buyers and sellers.”
