Senior Vice President of Sales
Jameson Sotheby’s International Real Estate
Before Ryan Preuett was a senior vice president of sales at Jameson Sotheby’s International Real Estate, he worked extensively in the hospitality industry, giving him keen insight and valuable knowledge that has translated well into his real estate business. As the director of marketing for several hospitality groups, Preuett learned how to effectively communicate and connect reputable brands with their target clients, skills that he leverages in his new career. “I really enjoyed working in the hospitality space,” he says, “but wanted to transition into an industry where I could help the same clientele in a sales environment.”
A luxury real estate specialist, Preuett primarily serves the Gold Coast, Lincoln Park, Streeterville, West Loop, River North, Bucktown and South Loop neighborhoods. With five years in the real estate industry now under his belt, he has consistently proven himself as a top performer. Last year Chicago Agent magazine named him as the agent with the highest year-over-year gain, and a top 1 percent producer in the Chicagoland market. Since starting in real estate, Preuett’s average transaction has been well above $1 million.
As Preuett’s business continues to rapidly expand, he has brought on new team members. “In order to keep growing at the same rate while maintaining the attention to detail, I needed to closely evaluate the business model and start making strategic hires,” he explains. “To do this I had to analyze the needs of my clients and hire people with specific strengths to best serve them.”
His creative outlook on the real estate industry, coupled with his communication skills, leads to long-term relationships. “Whether it’s finding off-market properties, renovating existing properties, or creating a unique marketing campaign, the right solution is rarely just sitting on the MLS. I carefully listen to my clients so that I can truly understand their needs and create a tailored plan to help them achieve their goals.”
