Teresa Ryan has been honored for her successes in the industry with a plethora of awards. She has been listed as one of Real Estate Executive magazine’s national Top 200 Real Estate Agents in America, and ranked within the Wall Street Journal’s Top Thousand list’s top 100 and top 20 for both sales volume and team transaction sides, respectively – and the list goes on and on. However, there’s no professional achievement she’s as proud of as starting her own business, Ryan Hill Realty. Since its launch 15 years ago, Ryan Hill Realty has served buyers and sellers in the Chicagoland area, and currently works with a team of more than 45 real estate agents, along with a professional support staff.

Considering her great success in the industry, it might come as a surprise that Ryan’s career path began in public relations and marketing. It was not until she married her husband, Nick Ryan, the CEO of Marquette Companies, a property development and multi-family management company, that her latent interest the real estate was piqued enough for her to dive in. Since then, she’s seen success after success, with the creation and management of Ryan Hill Realty as the culmination of her efforts. “Starting Ryan Hill Realty allowed me to provide a solid foundation for entrepreneurs, serve and support clients with excellence, contribute to the community, and support philanthropic ventures,” she says.

For Ryan, part of the joy of managing her own business is that it gives her a unique outlet to pursue her passion for professional development, both for herself and her colleagues. “Having built Ryan Hill Realty on a foundation of training and education for our brokers and myself, it’s a core value at Ryan Hill Realty to be well informed in industry practice for successful results,” she says. “By combining our experience, Ryan Hill Realty’s management serve as mentors, offering guidance on best business practices for growth.” By making a commitment to continued education and training, Ryan enjoys helping to develop Ryan Hill Realty’s brokers and team members, who then give the highest quality service and results to our clients and community. But at the end of the day, the best part for Ryan is helping people achieve the American Dream of homeownership. “I believe that the real estate profession is a noble one, because I get to assist people build wealth and equity,” she says. Real estate aside, Ryan’s greatest joy in life is her family. Teresa and Nick have five children and nine grandchildren. Ryan also enjoys spending time in nature and with animals. “That helps me unwind, relax, and take the time to be grateful for all we have,” she says.
